Mar de Miguel Colom

Mar holds a graduate degree in Business and Economy, an MBA in Public Management from the Instituto de Empresa (IE), and a Master in European Economy and Executive Leadership from IE.
She has over 20 years’ professional experience as an executive in the management of public and private assets the Spanish tourism sector. She specializes in setting up different sorts of entities and social action groups, and in the management of European Funds.

Mar is currently Secretary-General of the Asociación Empresarial Hotelera de Madrid (AEHM), member of the Board of Affiliate Members of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), member of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). She is President of working group 15 of Technical Committee 228 at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), in charge of the development and update of the ISO standard on tourism and related services, and serves as a member of working group 18 of Technical Committee 228, which is in charge of designing measures for reducing the spread of Covid-19 in the Tourism Industry.

Moreover, Mar is a member of the Tourism Council of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (SCBO), of the Tourism Council of the Business Confederation of Madrid (CBCM), of the Board of Directors of the Madrid Convention Bureau (MCB) and has for nine years been a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR).
