Maribel Rodríguez

Maribel obtained a graduate degree in Clinical and Industrial Psychology from the University of Salamanca, and an MBA from ICADE Business School. She completed a Senior Executive Program in Travel & Tourism at IESE. She is also a member of the Latin American & Caribbean SAHIC Advisory Committee and of the Advisory Committee of the Tourism Innovation Summit.

Maribel currently serves as Vice-president of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). In the course of her career, she has developed an extensive network within the travel and tourism industry worldwide, both in the public and private sectors. She was Marketing Director and Member of the Executive Committee at Travelodge Hotels from 2008 to 2014, and Member of the Madrid Hotel Business Association and the Madrid Tourism Promotion Commission. 

Maribel spent 11 years in the airline industry, where she was responsible for the launch and operations of low-cost airlines for the Southern-European markets, such as Virgin Express (Brussels), Go-Fly (London), EasyJet and Ryanair. She has also worked as Marketing and Sales Director at GB Airways, the British Airways’ franchisee for the Spanish, Portuguese and French markets.
